Week 14 2 paragraphs

Part One Life  Page 84  third paragraph

" She looks like she is doing Better,"Henrietta said " Yeah ,Elsi look nice and clean and everything ." They sat in silence for a long time . Henrietta seemed relieved ,almost despirate,to see Elsie looking Okay. That was the last time she would ever see her daughter ___ Emmett figured she knew she was saying goodbye. What she dint know was that no one would ever visit Elsie again .

This was  a really sad moment in this book. Id Imagine how emanciated Henrietta is at this point knowing very well it doesnt look too promising yet sh ekeeps on fighting , The folks who had come vising her to donate blood still had hope  that something could happen. as the author does an extremely good job in letting us know how the mood was like no one really wanted to speak , when one spoke all theyd say was" yeah ".
Also there was a part there was a description of  Henrietta seeing Elsie for the last time  . Not an authority on death but the few moments I have come across death its like the person about to dies kind of knows . The person feels ok  for a minute like being relieved of a load then rests.
My grandfather and my dad were really extra close. At the time of his demise  my dad was not close , from heresay my grandfather summoned for my dad and never wanted to see any other person again thereafter  till he rested . Its not really the same thing but I kind of feel the person about to die will wait to get some closure before they leave .

"You make sure Day takes care of then children," Henrietta told her sister, tears streaming down her face "Especially my baby girl Deborah ." Deborah was just  over a year old when Henrietta went to hospital. Henrieta had wanted to hold Deborah, to dress her in her beatiful dressand braid her hair , to teach her how to pait her nails ,curlher hair and handle men .

What stood out was that last quotte . Just curious If for real she would have discussed with her on how to handle men .Its sad when a person especially a mother dying leaving a young child , knowing very well that there was that desire that there we re things they would have done that they wount be able to do. The description too is very intimate that she knew she was indeed going .
On the things she wished she did with Deborah , why those specific things ? Why not other childern  on the same sediments ?
Curious too she only spoke about Deborah alone , she had other Kids , a husband . Wonder why her thoughts were just on the baby? Could be because she was the youngest . It was also really intreasting on how the sister spoke to her that day anfter leaving there she passed away ! If I was her Id really be touched by her words
